Hexagonal Architecture in Practice (Without the Buzzwords)
Ports and adapters sound academic until a vendor API changes overnight. Here’s why we use hexagonal design on enterprise systems.

The idea
Keep business rules in the center. Push databases, message brokers, and UI frameworks to the edges through ports and adapters—so swapping Redis, Kafka, or a payment provider doesn’t rewrite your domain.
Where we apply it
On platforms like ComptaAI and other enterprise systems, hexagonal boundaries made testing realistic and kept domain logic independent of Spring or Angular details.
When to skip it
Tiny CRUD apps don’t need ceremony. Use hexagonal where longevity and change are guaranteed—enterprise accounting, multi-tenant SaaS, regulated workflows.
